Turning Data into Actionable Insights for Better Fundraising

Since 1989, I have worked with charitable organizations and agencies across the United States, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Throughout my career, I have seen how powerful data can be when used correctly—and how overwhelming it can feel when it’s not.

The most inspiring projects I’ve worked on have focused on making data clear, actionable, and meaningful—helping organizations move beyond raw numbers to better decision-making and stronger fundraising results. Whether through data visualization, predictive analytics, or strategic reporting, my goal has always been to transform complex information into insights that drive success.

I have led projects that include building data warehouses, developing automated dashboards, and designing predictive models—all with one purpose: to help organizations use their data more effectively. From identifying donor trends and improving retention rates to optimizing campaign strategies, I focus on ensuring that data isn’t just collected, but actually used to achieve real, measurable results.

A Philosophy Rooted in Clarity & Impact

I believe that if a report or visual doesn’t make sense in a few moments, it’s not useful. Fundraising professionals need to be able to quickly understand where they stand, what’s working, and where improvements can be made. My focus has always been on ensuring that data leads to action—whether it’s refining a fundraising approach, identifying the right donor segments, or making more strategic budget decisions.

While vanity metrics and impressive-looking dashboards have their place, my approach is always grounded in functionality and impact. Every report, dashboard, or analysis should provide immediate clarity and a clear next step—making fundraising more effective, more efficient, and ultimately, more impactful.

Driven by Purpose & Firsthand Experience

Beyond data and strategy, I have had the privilege of traveling with nonprofit leaders to visit projects around the world—seeing firsthand the impact of their work. From orphanages in Central America and Asia to animal rescue operations in Eastern Europe and emergency relief efforts worldwide, these experiences have reinforced the importance of making every fundraising dollar count.

Knowing that the right data, used in the right way, can directly contribute to a nonprofit’s ability to fulfill its mission is what continues to drive my passion for this work. More effective fundraising means more resources going directly toward the mission—and I am committed to helping organizations achieve that.
